Hi, there! I'm Mrs. H and I love to cook. It's as simple as that.
Well, I guess I wasn't always Mrs. H and I didn't always love to cook. I used to be intimidated by cooking. I had messed up so many times in that teeny tiny kitchen in my studio apartment, where the kitchen was actually a former closet and my latest cutting board wouldn't even fit on the countertop. But when a meal turned out as planned, there was something satisfying beyond basic nutrition--good food feeds the soul. And it doesn't have to be hard! The best ingredients need little transformation to become the best meals.
In 2011, because of life-long health issues I cut gluten out of my diet (and may soon be dairy free, too). It is certainly difficult to cut these staples out of your life, but I'm here to tell you that it is possible and if you need to do this, you will feel so much better.
Now that my culinary skills have improved and my kitchen is a bit bigger, I want to share my kitchen joy with everyone and those discoveries I have made along the way that have made my life a little easier.
P.S. My healthy revolution also includes a goal to get to a healthy weight, for the first time since elementary school. For assistance, I am using myfitnesspal.com to track my calories, exercise, and progress. I am not affiliated with the site in any way, but it's free and it has really helped me. Feel free to join and follow me! Together, we can reach our goals!
